sun moon lake

Posted by j. (taipei, Taiwan) on 2 June 2007 in Landscape & Rural and Portfolio.

we arrived at the lalu today, where it overlooks the famous sun moon lake. it's beautiful here.

on the way down to here from taipei, you'll come across girls in this glass enclosures, who are dubbed 'betel nut beauties.' often dressed only in a bikini or some skimpy dress, they prepare betel nuts (a nut chewed often by drivers like tobacco) and try to lure drivers to stop and buy their product. it'd be more impressive if i had a photo, but you can easily find what i'm talking about by searching it on google.
