wufenpu is often known as the wholesale garment district in taipei. every monday, boutique owners from all over the city flock to this place to find the best buys for their shops for the week. people are welcome to buy wholesale or not; and even without buying wholesale, things can get quite cheap. this alleyway is one of the bigger ones given that people can walk freely through the passageway, but other alleys can get pretty tight as ones' armspan can almost reach across the alleyway to the other shops.
